Thread: Patch 4.2 Notes (Preliminary)

Certificates of commendation have been added as rewards for completing Wondrous Tails.
These certificates can be exchanged with Khloe Aliapoh for a number of unique prizes.

I wonder if this will be way to get 3 line rewards without getting 3 lines. I'm thinking get X amount of certificates based on how many lines you matched. Then save up certificates over multiple weeks to eventually get the 3 line rewards.

If that's the case, it might get more people invested in it again. Something like "hand in a journal and spend X certificates to get the next award compared to what you have". Granted the 2->3 jump would be the most expensive but then still doable, and you'd have to farm the certificates for a while before that, but hey, any new motivation to run WT is welcome

A thought on the housing change: Will all housing purchases be limited to FCs for a period? Or will that only apply to the new wards? What will they do if it gets too flooded with private houses being relocated? New wards will get private houses (unlikely many/all tho), and the plots released in old wards may still be available for private purchase, with the effect being less plots actually available for FCs than anticipated.

I thought that was the idea. For the first few weeks, only FC's can buy outright.

But, I don't see relocation remaining open as a bad deal since it will still open plots up, just in old areas.

Suppose it remains to be seen how it's implemented. I was under the impression that the restriction may only apply to new wards, which may be problematic if private houses move in, and the vacant plots left behind are available for private purchase as well.

I'm not at all opposed to the relocation being open, just pointing out that if their reasoning for the restrictions is getting housing to the most players they can right now (as FC groups), they might not get as much as expected.

RIP MSQ roulette? I think not. If the tomes/hour and/or EXP/hour just equals what you achieve on average with everything else, it doesn't change anything, but sprouts finally can experience the grand final of 2.0 without all the jerks ruining it today.

Do not expect a nerf for these jobs before some new jobs coming in the new expansion, it's business ^^

how do you function? RDM is weak as hell. and SAM is pure DPS with no utility yet summoner beats it outright. xD

As a PLD who just time traveled from 2016, I completely agree. The bias towards WAR and DRK is ridiculous, and I can't picture it ever changing.
