A bit late to start talking about that but with the preseason coming it's time for feedback:

Tri-bind is bad the way it is right now, and absolutely doesn't flow with SMN. First off the MP cost is very high, with a "long" cast, negligible damage, and usually you're not gonna save anyone with it unless everyone is retreating but then again by the time the cast goes off the enemy might be on you already.
It's nearly impossible to be proactive with it; say you want to bind enemy melee and tank to save your healer, the healer still has to cast and might not benefit from having them bound right next to them, and again, the cast is long, the healer might be dead before/as the cast goes off.
On top of all that Bahamut and his Wyrmaves break binds, that skill is completely unsuited for SMN.
I am not really sure how it could be improved, making it instant still wouldn't be great, because of the MP cost and the fact it would mostly only be useful for self defense.
SMN has very little going to help the party, so making it (or replacing it with) an actual useful CC of some sort would be most welcome.
