Omega 2 Savage possible with Party Finder?

    Hiya,

I’ve been trying to do this for a couple of days without success! The mechanics aren’t too difficult but it seems that any tiny silly mistake by anyone causes the run to fail, or people jus don’t focus or remember when the mechanics come up.

I’ve tried a mixture of practice and duty completion party finder groups and the best I got to was enrage.

I got into a duty completion group who seemed super serious and a healer made a mistake twice and got blasted for it. I can now understand that in part as it becomes quite frustrating. :P

How did you all do it? Via party finder or some other way? Do you think it’s worth persevering with party finder? I did o1s via PF and it was fine.

I pug my way from OS1 to OS4 (not cleared Os4 yet) For me its worth it to do it with party finder, just need patience. Random people in party finder need a while to find rhythm to work as a team so I always expect couples of wipes before we actually get to the purpose of the party. Or all we need is honesty, for example maybe you are manage to get to enrage in os2 but you are actually not comfortable in long drop phase yet. You join enrage group but fail in long drop, making the rest of the group think that it is a trap group.

The only drawback for me is that sometimes you meet uncomfortable group, and the more you go up the savage level, the more uncomfortable a group can be. people sometimes forget that it is a team effort to clear raid.

static is maybe better because you are doing the same fight with the same people always, so it easier to work on the rhythm. But for me who dont really have time to find static, party finder is quite nice

    Hey,

I’ve definitely messed the fight up a few times too so I’m no way perfect either. :P

For some reason it seems so much harder than o1s in that there’s very little room for error.

People seem to make the most mistakes by not seeing the eye go out on the tenticle part and running in time to the edge, standing in front of the boss to get blasted by gravitational wave, or getting confused with long drop.

What makes it worse is people, even in practice groups, end up leaving after one or two wipes, so they are replaced and you have to re go through the learning of the mechanics again, but oddly, this happened too in o1s but for me it took much less attempts to complete. maybe it’s much more of an easy fight?

I will keep trying and hopefully I will do it!

My first clear of V2S was via PF, and I'd cleared it several times more via PF -- and I had a static at the time. (Same goes for V3S). But this was in the earlier days, when a lot of very motivated people were doing learning parties. I feel PF learning parties gradually got more rather than less difficult as people who would be likely to clear them succeeded (and then stopped joining learning parties afterwards). So if anything, the stringency of the challenge on each individual player has risen.

But you should quit if your PF team doesn't want to discuss what conventions you all are going to use for the various mechanics. There are several ways to do most things, and if you are not on the same page you are wasting your time.

It is considerably more difficult than V1S, you're right. But it's not much more difficult than Hashmal was in week 1. Good luck and endure!
