Umbral Age Developments

SO tonight I was crafting in Ul'dah near the repair Npc, when the random NPC (Alfgar) screaming of gloom and doom popped and started going on about a Religious sect on the rise. I spoke with him and he said some man was going on about how this sect had just kidnapped his daughter. Going south on the main strip in Ul'dah, I found said npc standing near a purple Arethyte (sp?) gate in town. I put on my best 39 gear (lol sad I know) and jumped through.

The other side took me to a canal that connected under the copperbell mines. I tried forming a small group to go look for the girl but because of my level and the fact that no-one seemed to know what to do, the gate closed behind us before we had a chance to get our bearings. From the time Alfgar started shouting to the time the gate closed on its own trapping us in Copperbell, 30 mins had passed at the most. Has anyone found said little girl? All I want to know is if there is a cool 7th Umbral age CS involved in doing this. I would like to discuss the changes people are seeing in real time in the world around them as we get ready for the era change...

hmm... ya now I start to think Alfgar is either a spy or an idiot got used by people.

That thing you are talking about is what people talked "Purple gate > Save my daughter" thread.
I don't want to spoil the pot but... ya... I don't really think it's about the Umbral event thing...
