    Receiving Error 3102

    I've been trying to log into my account since roughly 6PM EST but I only receive error 3102, even if I try to log in from a different data center or alt character. The exact error message is "You are still logged into the game. Please allow a few moments for the logout process to complete. If you continue experiencing problems, please contact customer support."

    Aint nothing that can be done here as this isn't on your end but SE. This forum usually focuses on problems on the client end. You may try contacting chat support. I had a friend who stayed logged in like you describe, and he couldn't login until after the next maintenance cycle, which for us, is next Monday. If chat support can't resolve your problem, then the shut down monday should fix this, but that means that you'd be down until next tuesday.

    Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    The 3102 error is mostly commonly caused by an improper disconnection from the servers during game play. As the game servers still recognize the character as being logged in due to the improper disconnection, the character cannot be logged into. Unfortunately there is no manual way to communicate to the servers that the character is no longer logged in, nor is there a way to manually log the character out. The character will eventually be recognized as logged out, though this time can vary depending on multiple factors such as the area the character was in when the disconnection happened.
