It has happened, ever since we have been given the ability to perform musicians have set out to share there talents to all who would listen. People who traveled from the shores of Limsa to the Streets of Kugane seeking recognition, but it is never enough. Why settle for being a good musician when you can be the best one? The new FC, Remnants of Dawn, offers you this: one contest, 10 million gil, winner takes all. Perform among the most talented virtuosi in server and prove you are the best. You do not need to be a member of the hosting FC to participate. More details will be provided over time.

This is going to happen, and it be an experience to which the server has never seen! The contest date is still undecided but it will be Early-mid March. The competition will be held at Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Old Gridania (10.2,9.3). If you have any questions comments or concerns feel free to post in this thread or contact me directly.

Wouldn't it make more sense if the auditions were held at the amphitheater in Old Gridania?

The auctions are being held outside of the amphitheater so that it is clear who is performing so that little to no people pass by

Note Square's Disclaimer about performance is this:
"When using the performance actions, you are strictly prohibited from performing the music of any third parties."
What to take from this: Will I be enforcing this into the competition? No, no I will not.
Upon Auditions you will be asked to send a letter to our designated host/hostess with your name, group members names if applicable and group name (groups of 2 or more only [not required for groups of 2])
Competitors cannot use a song that has already been claimed. If your song conflicts the latest received submission will have to change
In 4.2 we are gaining 4 new instruments that are not bard specific. You do not need to be a bard to participate
Disruptive behavior during another's performance will not be tolerated and will forfeit you from the competition.
You are allowed to perform in group of no more than 5.
More rules and regulations may be added but these were the most important.

The members of Remnants of Dawn are working hard to bring to this event to reality. While the event is already going to be outstanding, there is potential for it to be even better. Seeing how we are a group of 11 at the moment we seem to lack volunteers to help set up this event. Volunteers like Role-Players to work as vendors, adventurers to exchange tales of their travels, Healers to serve as medics ( So Im not held liable for any injuries the may come of this event [I mean it could happen ]) My point is there is alot that could become of this event and any help is very much appreciated.

I am proud to announce that the Battle of the Bards event will be held on March 3 @ the Gridanian Amphitheater from 8pm-12am EST. We will be doing giveaways as well as some other things to liven up the event. One thing is certain this will be a night to remember and you will have wanted to be there.
