Not sure where to post this. So I want to transfer from Gilgamesh to Couerl, which is a preffered world. The problem is Gilgamesh recently got taken off from the Congested World list, so I think it's no longer have the transfer bonus.

I don't mind paying for the transfer itself, but the problem is it means now the gil transfer is capped, and I do have a small amount of wealth I want to bring with me. As I understand the limit is 10mil on char and 5mil per retainer. I currently have 4 retainers. However let's say if I want to bring 100mil with me. Can I just create some alts and spread my gils the alts and their retainer, then transfer all of them at once (I think the transfer service let you do it in patch with one transfer)

Will this work, and will it violate any TOS thing here, just checking.

I don't think this is implicitly against the TOS, but there's no way to say how the GMs will interpret the actions. Typically the way people transfer gil like this is to buy Allagan pieces and clear demis from the MB, understanding you may take a small hit in your total, and sell them once you've completed the transfer.

You are allowed to create alts and transfer money to them and their retainers. There are no rules against that and if my understanding is correct if you pay to transfer your main all the characters can transfer with you for the same price. Obviously they'd all need to belong to the same FC to transfer funds back and you'd need the rights in that FC to move money that way unless you want to transfer 1 million at a time and have a friend act as an intermediate. A new FC might not be willing to give you access to their funds to do so.

I transfer funds to my alts all the time using the FC chest.

Just buy a ton of really expensive things on the market board and hold on to them until you transfer and resell them.

The allagan currency isn't really worth it, you need a whole stack of platinum to make it worth 1mil. There is no way to get sufficient amount for reasonable price. I don't have issue of moving my gil amount my alt, just making sure I'm allow to carry them all with me. (And not something like 10mil/5mil as an absolute cap).
