Mentorship in 2018

I do not think the requirements to become mentor are unreasonable.
I have been playing ffxiv for a very long time. I am very proud of my Cait Sith minion.
I have four alts. Three alts are ilvl 320 and above (lvl 70, yes). Fourth alt is at lvl 61(NIN).
Between the alt's I have met all the DPS/Heals Achievement set requirements.
Am I complaining? No, not at all. Trolling? No, trolling is for people who have nothing better to do then to create/cultivate conflict. Suggesting then...? Most definitely.
My suggestion, then. is this: Please consider the possibility of binding some achievements to account level, such as class/jobs completed, commendations and dungeons completed instead of binding them to a particular character.

I think the mean, they would like to be a mentor, but cannot be as they don't meet the requirements on one character, but across them all they do.

I actually really like this idea. Funny enough I was just doing the math of my dungeons/Commendation rate.

I have a lot of alts, but for this I only did the math of the eight characters on my main server.

I have 4052 dungeon runs total, and 5670 commendations. I just got the golden magitech on one of my alts, and its nice and all... but I've had it for AGES on my main so its kinda like -shrugs- I would have the parade chocobo by now if things like that carried over.

While we're at it though, I think that the requirements to be a mentor are actually not strict enough :P

Sure: In summary. I really want to be a mentor. I have the experience across all of my alt's to meet the Mentor requirements as they stand right now. I discovered that those achievements are bound to a single character. If I take the achievements for just one character and compare against the dps/heals achievement set requirements then there is no way that I would be able to gain Mentor for at least another year or so given how often I am able to play right now.
If, on the other hand, I could take the achievement set requirements I've already met across all of my alt's I would easily qualify for Mentor once I finish getting my DRK to lvl 60.

Aaah alright i get it now That makes alot of sense, as long as all the characters are on the same datacenter i don't see why this shouldn't be a thing

I would support this if the game had an alt reward system in place like swtor.

Thread digressed fast, but here the tl;dr:
There are pro and cons. Some achieves are reasonable account-wide, some other server-wide, and some are better to keep character-based.

Btw, about mentor status, I think it is better don't count duties you do unsync for the reqs. If clearing one thousand duties has made for the "experience" of the mentor, unsync haven't a place there.

What? How is this asking for a skip? Literally we've qualified for it. It's just across multiple characters.
