Sure there is... long term goals. Something this game lacks outside relic weapons. Hopefully Eureka comes through and remedies this.So....basically, you're pretty much fine with going through the whole game Netflixing while hardly paying attention? Are you the type that dislikes being challenged in optional content? Besides, there's only so much the devs can add every 3-4 months when the casual base just eats through everything in just a few days. Part of that is on the devs for making things easy like that, part of that is on the player base for not going in moderation.
You don't need content with a million mechanics for it to be fun either. That's just what our devs choose to keep churning out.

I had more fun last night learning how to heal Exdeath (Savage) than I have had in weeks doing "Expert" dungeons. Why? The former required my brain.
That's the issue with anecdotes. Your definition of fun isn't universal. Now I wouldn't take near the amount of umbrage I do if people who didn't want to put forth an effort stayed out of harder content. Instead, they whine everything is too hard and needs nerfs. So now what I enjoy gets watered down because you (generalizing) can't be bothered to do more than press a handful of buttons.
You clearly didn't read the post directly prior to the one you quoted. I at no point call for nerfs to content difficulty. I've been asking for hard 4 man content for a long time. Content should not feel like work however.... games should be funI had more fun last night learning how to heal Exdeath (Savage) than I have had in weeks doing "Expert" dungeons. Why? Here's the thing, for me, I want to be challenged. I want to be pushed forward. It's why I'm pushing to get back into my static. It's why I want any relationship to be intellectually stimulating for me. For me, I want to be challenged. The idea of being challenged, that is fun to me.
White Mage ~ Sage ~ AstrologianBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
Some people don't have the capacity or the will to tackle endgame content. yet they still feel they are owed it and attempt to get carried. if they can't they complain.

There are a sect of people here where the more stuff that is locked behind endgame fights, the more they will hate it. They're one-and-done kind of people so mastering a savage/ex is a waste of time for them when they know once they got what they want, they will never return to the content.

i don't call for nerfs, but i like easier fights as well.
an easier fight means less training, less failing and less problems with randoms.
the required coordination for those team jumprope mechanics in this game, the expectation of perfection that many people have compared with the fact that this game lacks long term goals and even encourages "to take breaks", wich destroys many FCs and statics, are my reasons for this mindset.
i simply don't want to mess with randoms in harder fights.
I have a similar mindset. Although I enjoy savage level fights with my static (we cleared 4 yesterday woo!), when it comes to pretty much everything else, the difficulty is wildly inconsistent and as a result certain fights are just unbearable. I accept dying as a result of my own mistakes, but dying because of other's mistakes rubs me the wrong way. It's why after 5 kills I've avoided Shinryu like the plague, it's just not consistently puggable.i don't call for nerfs, but i like easier fights as well.

As someone who is "ready" to start savage content?
Its not the content I hate.
its the community.
This elitist "git gud" attitude and obsession with parser's really makes me not EVER want to do it.
At least until I get a large enough group of friends who respect one another and don't give a rats ass about perfection...but about having fun in clearing said content.
Just my 2 cents.

Nothing prevents you to form a PF practise group and try savage/ex primals. As someone who is "ready" to start savage content?

Only a small part of the raiding community is "elitist" and focusing on numbers.
The raiding community is not as toxic as you think.
