Triple Triad has been neglected for too long!

Sure we usually get new cards every other patch, but that's not my point! Please read if you can bear it. Thanks!

I play a lot of Triple Triad(I have over 200 cards, help...) and I enjoy entering the tournaments and playing other players. It's really fun! However, certain rules for tournaments can make it very, very boring. In fact the worst rule is having no rules, due to the fact that no one has been able to upgrade decks to at least have 1 or 2 Four Star cards in place of Three Stars. There's SO many draws when you play a normal match without rules. I occasionally play a friend for fun and we quickly came to the decision that playing on Random is the most fun way to play. Random being that you get dealt cards randomly from what you have. Also, adding roulette(Random for rules) is fun too. I hate playing normal matches without rules, it's so easy for it to be one-sided or very predictable resulting in draw after draw; which becomes very boring.

While Triple Triad hasn't been forgotten, since we usually get new cards every patch. The Deck upgrading as you get more cards has been neglected for so long now. I believe you need 60 cards to be able to create: 1 Five Star, 4 Three Star deck, which is currently the maximum allowed. Back in 2.0(and probably early 3.0) this was fine due to the game having a lot less cards than it does now. I believe we had around 100~120 cards to collect back then, but we now have a little over 200 to collect and the deck restriction has remained the same and many players have had the same cards in their decks for a long time now.

It's come to a time where players should be allowed to have at the very least 1 Four Star card along side another Four or Five Star card. In case some players never noticed, your deck upgrades when you've collected a certain amount of cards. The achievement for collecting 60 cards will allow you to be able to use 1 Five or Four Star with 4 Three Star cards, which as I said above is currently the maximum allowed. So, there's achievements for obtaining 90 and 120 cards which could now easily be points at which a players deck upgrades also. The 90 card achievement allowing you to use at least 1 Four Star card along side a Five Star card and then the 120 card achievement allowing you to use 2 Four Star cards along side a 5 Star card. I'd settle for at least being able to use 1 Four Star card with a Five Star card though.

Another thing they have neglected is the Triple Triad Tournaments themselves. There's never been new tournaments added with different sets of rules. We've had the same tournament rotation forever. I'd like them to add more tournaments with different sets of rules too. I won't get into too much detail about Tournament rules, but I'd like them to get a bit more unique. Something like having players only able to use One Star cards and Two Star cards, stuff like that lol. But honestly, the deck upgrading would make things a bit more interesting if they could at least do that.

    Thanks for reading! ^^

I'd like a more indepth system with TT, introducing some sort of "advantages", say Garlean Cards get +1 against Scions. Scions get +1 against Primals. Primals get +1 against Beastmen. Beastmen get +1 against Garleans (doesn't make sense but it's to close the circle). Normal monsters are fillers. Certain rules like "swap advantage" to turn the wheel around, and stuff like that. So far, most duels, are like playing Tic-Tac-Toe. Playing Random+Roulette shouldn't be the only way to have fun with this game. D: I'd add that in addition to your extra 4-star card idea.

Ya this would be cool, and maybe giving some higher stared cards abilities to somewhat help themselves against their hard counters or further boost the lower cards they synergize with. Unfortunately I never see them adding to TT as it has too niche a community. Maybe if there was a bigger outcry for this they'd revamp TT in some way.

TT won't be worth revamping until we can put more the four 3* card and one 5* in decks that we currently have. I've got 4 cards with the 8-8 combo on the corners and Cloud Strife and I don't have any good reason to change that deck. Unless it's Plus and then it's swap out Cloud for Regula and one of the other cards for a 8-x-8-x card. I'd kinda like that not to be the case.

Or at the very least, put in more 5* cards with Cloud's 9-8-9-3 combo, but in different orientations (and do more versions of Regula's while you're at it). Those cards is broken since the 3* cards can only beat it on one side and that isn't hard to watch out for if you know what you're doing.

Or... I played TT more in FFVIII then I played the actual game. Playing games where everyone has 5* and 4* cards is actually really interesting. I did more thinking against the AI in that game then I do against human characters in this one.
