No one is losing any houses, since the currently owned houses (both private and FC ones) are grandfathered. When they do these changes are they going to give back millions of gil that cost that player to buy the house and all items they will loose. Not even sure why there doing these change's when heard there going to have small, medium, and large apartment rooms. Can see now player owns 2 fc house's and player loose one of them. Then everyone in that fc that private rooms to it will loose them and maybe some items that can't be moved or put in storage.
I wouldn't mind them changing the monthly fee so I'm paying in AUD and not EUR...
Bolding your words doesn't make your claim more legitimate. Using logic instead would make your argument better.I can't make you see the light if you insist on being blind, prices in the Mog Shop keep on growing higher but if you're still fine with it go ahead and support it, I surely will not, the game doesn't give me enough in return of the money it asks for stuff!...
Heavensward was obviously better than Stormblood and there's no way to change that!...
imo I think its fine how it is with the price. even before that i think taking up a lot of houses was frowned apon anyway..
*facepalm*Hi everyone!
In the middle of all this stupid new housing policy, what I really wonder (and the main reason why I have always thought that they wouldn’t ever make something like this) is:
Shouldn’t they adjust the monthly fee?
The main difference between Entry and Normal Subscriptions is the number of characters you are allowed to play in total and per world. Prior to 4.2 we were allowed to play 8 characters per world. But now, 7 out of those 8 will have a new restriction. Are they going to reduce the monthly fee too?
And I am not talking about an in-game reward. It is the real money we pay what should also be reduced, the very same as the service we get.
After all, what is the real purpose on having alts, besides making with them what we cannot make with our main? Do we really deserve having now, after 4 years, such a cap on them not applied to the fee?
If you feel you're not getting your money's worth the best option is to vote with your wallet and unsub. For those of us who enjoy the game, we're staying subbed. Myself included. Sure, I'll balance it out with other games but even with all these supposed "price hikes", I still feel like I'm getting my money's worth. So I'm staying subbed. What's that phrase again... "You don't pay my sub!"
Makes me think, what if SE were to quadruple the service fee for those who had hoarded houses? So from £8.99/mth to £35.96/mth. Of course, we'd probably need popcorn for the ensuing rage, but aside from that I wonder what would happen?So... we're now expecting bad behavior to be rewarded by letting the flippers and hoarders pay less per month to make up for restrictions placed on all service accounts because of their actions? Nope. Not likely to happen, and IMO doesn't need to. The restriction is being placed to improve quality of life/gameplay for everyone.

White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
If you have alts on different worlds they can still be a part of an FC and have their own house.
Just not on the same world, which for that i expect the ability to add alts to your own property.
Before going full doom and gloom, wait for the housing site to go live.
Codes have always been ether account-wide or single. XD
I didn't realize housing was so important to people that the real world cost of the game should be changed for new restrictions. It's really not that deep.
First of all, I want to thank all your opinions and ideas. Just to reply some of them:
That is adding new content. Not exactly this thread’s topic, although related. The addition of new content, in terms of gameplay, is something applied to the whole player-base. In 4.2 they are changing, not only the content, but also the way that one specific kind of subscription works.
The measure itself doesn’t give a chance to anyone. It removes, indeed. Read it carefully.
What if I have already paid for a 6 month period on a Normal Subscription?
