Do deaf people ever use facetime or video chat to sign to their gaming friends or do you guys usually just text?

Do you guys do text callouts during the fight or just have everyone responsible for knowing what is coming up?

Thankfully final fantasy is really friendly to anyone deaf or with horrible hearing loss.

Feels like fights are never given audio only mechanics. Worst case would maybe be Leviathan EX?


It's an extra challenge especially progressing. Fights are scripted and predictable. Think we will do good and succeed without the help of quick communication voice chat.

If worse comes to worse my PLD WAR DRK are 70 incase there's a severe shortage of tanks.

Mained tank from 2.0 to 4.0 though really don't want to tank unless it's the only way to get a full group going.

From what I see they use either FB messenger or another video service. It would be mostly text but for those in the hearing crowd i wouldnt discourage discord, just know things will and must be explained in text.

Also yes super loud noises could still cause their ears to hurt, but it strictly depends on their level of deafness
