ANYWAY! When I was invested in the story, Alphinaud was my most hated. Just his presence made me want to vomit after enough times of putting up with him. Now though, I haven't been invested in the story for a long time so everyone now just kinda floats on by and are just /there/. Mostly because I find a large majority of the games story characters just bland and boring and about as interesting as a wet piece of cardboard.

I still do like Hildibrand, Nashu, Godbert and Julyan though. Its the only story arc I really follow cos to me at least those characters are trying to be interesting.

Top spot would have to be Thancred, though I fear Estinien is going to be up there soon too. They wre nothing more than broken men serving as plot devices to “save the day” with only a fig leaf of explanation of how they got there, if that. The scene what garlean soldiers fire on estinien while he just sits there to no effect, or thancred casually uppercutting a cyclops, basically says every reason I want them to die.

Alphinaud. I hate his voice and i kinda wish he got lost alrdy. I hate SE for forcing me to be friend with such annoyance and arrogant shit one.

I only dislike some, even if my dislike of a couple comes off as a "passionately hates".

Namely Haurchefant. Didn't care for him when we first meet him in the 2.0 story, mostly because that part of the story is so dull and I just really, really hate the Central Highlands (thank goodness for the recently added mount speed increases).

The first time I met Haurchefant was sometime around the time I stopped playing for a good while, so I easily forgot who he was. Then Heavensward came out, and I started seeing everything about "Oh no Haurchefant!!!", and I figured that "ok, so something happens to some HW NPC." Little did I know, it was actually that one CCH NPC from the storyline that I just blur through every time.

I get he's there to be a bro to our character (as shown in that part of the 2.0 MSQ and the fact that he helps us at the end of ARR), but he was just such a forgettable NPC and the fact that I never saw anyone anywhere all "omg Haurchefant~" until after his death made me not really care much about him. His death does hit me somewhat, because it is my character losing another person, but I'm personally not affected by his death. I also just expected his death to be retconned because it seemed like every "death" was being retconned at that point.

The other is Aymeric solely for the reason that he felt like he was just the replacement for Haurchefant. And the fact that most people who love(d) Haurchefant jumped to loving Aymeric as well doesn't make the feeling any better.
