Eh, Zenos is only a mirror image of the player if, well, he is a mirror image of the player. The game seems to at times desperately want to portray him that way but the player (and their individual character) are undefined. so an actual proper "mirror image" is impossible. Just another reason Zenos is a complete failure and waste of space as a character.

It is possible to create a mirror image of the players. Answer this one question: why do you play computer games? I guess, for the same reasons why Zenos is like he is.Eh, Zenos is only a mirror image of the player if, well, he is a mirror image of the player. Cheers

I think that hits on the problem, though. Not everyone plays games for the same reasons or in the same way; and they really do have to break the metaphorical fourth wall to accomplish it (mainly when he asks whether you enjoyed your journey or whatever it was), which again, different strokes for different folks with that sort of stuff. I don't really enjoy that kind of thing much and I suspect that's what's coming through when people express dislike of him. It's not enough to make him interesting to me.
inb4 the next ffxiv expansion where tataru becomes the reaper in the scions
nah
prob would still hate her lmao
Wandering Dramaturge, would feed to a morbol. Of all the npcs that appear useless this one right here ugh. Wished to give me "Lady of the fetch" too. Would like to slap whoever made that quest chain repeatedly.
For me Lyse is okay writing-wise. It’s her design that irritates me exceedingly and causes her to slot too neatly into a controversial trope.
Mitron is the closest to outright hate you’ll get from me. Asahi as well.

"Hate" is a strong word, but in terms of "a really uneasy dissonance between how the narrative presents them versus how I feel about their actual actions": Merlwyb, Gaius, Hien, Venat.
