It's funny how many people hate Lyse yet every Streamer who are big into story and lore I've seen Stream the game say they think she's great.
It's like people just stopped paying attention to her the moment her identity was revealed and refused to give her a chance.
Yes she's kinda annoying and bad until later, but the notion that she doesn't grow is just ridiculous and tells me people didn't pay any attention...
I also wonder if the same people who think that hates Alphinaud too considering that he was extremely annoying and shitty in ARR ( and like Lyse he did grow and become different ), and it's also not like Yda was a character to begin with she was background comedic relief and nothing else.

Streamers say what they think people want to hear.

Saying you don't like a female character is not what gaming communities want to hear.

I for one absolutely loathe Zenos and will be glad to never see him again. Two others I absolutely loathe are Asahi and Fandaniel. Good riddance in both cases.

The only real issue I had with Lyse is her inviting the Qalyana to her meeting when she should already know that they were tempered by Lakshmi during the MSQ of 4.0. Predictably, the Qalyana summon Lakshmi again and attempt to forcibly temper everyone in the room, with it being revealed later on that several guards were also tempered and had to be put down. Even with the WoL and Arenvald giving it their all to prevent Lakshmi's orbs from reaching the others they were still about to be overwhelmed. Were it not for Fordola's timely intervention, everyone in the throne room would have been tempered, and Arenvald and the WoL would have either died in the process or been forced to kill their own comrades. It just strikes me as especially odd because Lyse, having been a Scion for at least 5 years, should know how fanatical tempered individuals are, and that they will do anything to summon their deities.

It just feels like a massive writing blunder to me in my opinion.

The only character I can think of that ever truly got on my nerves was Asahi.

His condescending attitude, his pathetic attempts at social-climbing, his bloated ego, and that smirk on his face.

He's the only character that has actually inspired disgust in me.
