    With the new graphical engine, will we see more "interactive" animations?

    Not so much in the sense of making the world an interactive place since that's something completely different, but more so expanding/modifying what we have already. For example:

    In battles if you pay close attention, with certain weapons when you parry you'll see your character deflect the attack with their weapon or you'll see (usually 2 handed weapons) brace for impact.

    As well as if you strike a crab when it's in it's shell you'll notice your weapon (generally 1 handed) bounce off of it's shell if you let the animation play out.

    More little subtle attention to detail like that since it's something you really don't see much in even offline games.

    I believe that's why she said expanding/modifying, since with a new engine = new possibilities.

    I love the parry animations and whatnot... I just wish you couldn't over right them. Makes the point of some animations useless lol

    Not being to overwrite these animations is a really, really bad idea. Animation lock is bad enough, getting locked into parries etc would suck even more.

    Edit- That said, I enjoy these details in animations, I hope we see more of them (although we definitely need a more flexible system that allows movement whilst also having these animations, make them faster or something)

    And I agree on this, infact I would like more interaction over all. Like when you go to the elevator, you just stand there and it magically opens and is all ready for you and you walk in and it magically knows to go up to the specific floor. At least press a button or something!

    And then in raids you have those stupid lamps, you just examine and you get a cutscene where your character stands there looking all dumb while the lamps do some flashy animation and hey presto the door opens.

    So annoying imo lol

    But that is likely world interaction that you said is another thing. I just see it is 1 big cup of tea.

    Parry animations = lifesaver. Can't count how many times those visual queues have allowed me to use Fracture.

    Yeah, though if anything they could likely lengthen the TP ready phase of certain things if they want to keep a 'delay' in animation rather than lock, since it seems to be a combination of both really.

    WE DONT NEED THIS! WE NEED GAMEPLAY AND OTHER STUFFS! WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO DONT CARE ABOUT ANIMATIONS AND JUST SPAM ATTACKS!? I SAY NO!
