Adressing the roots of the housing problem

So with 4.2 the long awaited housing restriction for 1 private and 1 fc house per player per world will be coming. While this is great news, and will at least help solve some of the problems surrounding the problem with housing availability, we still only have very little information about the actual implementation, which leaves a lot of questions.

As we are solving the problem of players owning whole wards *cough*mateusgobletward12*cough*, I'm wondering if the reason why some players seek to own multiple estates will be solved as well, which means:

Will we finally, for the love of god, be able to access one house on all of our alts?

While that would be nice...being able to purchase a personal house would still be great(yes, I know that everything says for a limited time they will be FC exclusive, but it doesn't change the fact that people want a personal house still - and can't get one currently, and won't be able to probably for a LONG time).

The root of the problem is that there's more people who want a house than housing. That problem still exists. In fact, those people are now forbidden entirely from buying a house.

Alts being able to access your house would be nice, if you already have a house. It does nothing for the people who can't get one.

Wasn't there going to be two waves of plots being added? With that information and the letter today, I sort of interpreted the first wave being pretty much for FCs, and the second wave of new plots being added a week later being open season. I could be wrong, but that's how I originally interpreted all the information together.

My understanding is all new wards being added at once, a week after 4.2 hits(so Feb 6). And them all being FC only for a undisclosed amount of time. Could be a week or 5 years, we wont know until they tell us.

Listen, we have a way of dealing with these problems... They're known as "band-aids". When something is an issue, put a band-aid on it and wait. If it's still a problem, put a bigger band-aid on it. If THAT doesn't work, rip those band-aids off and apply a new, fancier band-aid. Finally, if that doesn't work... cut the problem area off and pretend it never existed. DON'T ROCK THE BOAT!

There will be exceptions to the FC only restriction. This is a restriction for new purchases if I read everything right. That means anyone with a personal that wants to relocate to the new wards can still do so the moment they go live.

As i fully guessed really they are just adding more wards with some i guess "rules" in place.
It solves nothing and many of us will still be without a house.

I must have missed that in the recaps(wasn't awake to watch the live letter). Do you have a link to anything stating that?
