My guess is it will be at Ultimecias castle with Ultimecia being the third boss and Omega Weapon after.

All of you guys are wrong.
Final boss will be Bob from accounting. He'll have a 5 minute enrage timer with an infinite health pool. Only way to beat him is to have everyone in the group spend $5+ in the cash shop. Fail the wallet check and you immediately lose access to the game for 24 hours.
They'd be silly not to pick Sephiroth. It'll make omega a 5-6-7 combo and it'll milk the hype from this being a samurai expansion.
Plus he's easily the most well known villain in the entire series, so it'll be a huge draw. Even people unfamiliar with FF know who he is because of how big 7 was, and XIV as the 2nd largest mainstream mmo has a lot of those players. I know during Deltascape I saw people going "Who's exdeath?" and wondering why we're fighting mobs that look like they belong in void ark.
As for omega prime, it's easy to work around that. He could be 4 or Sephiroth could be 3, they could throw a curveball and give us a 5th fight; they could even just have him fly away without fighting us and keep him around in the story for reasons, maybe he's impressed with you and wants to monitor your progress. He's quite important after all and fighting another [Something] Prime for 3/3 raid tiers is getting a bit cliche.

I hope they go with FFIV. Zemus, Golbez, the four elemental fiends and so on.
I would squeal like a J-Pop girl band member if the last boss of the next in the series is Sephiroth.
Imagine entering a *dark* arena... first time... no spoilers... and the music theme begins... and you recognize "One-winged Angel"
The chills - the glee - the OH SCHLITZ IT'S SEPHIROTH!![]()

I hope personally it isn’t sephiroth
My personal hope for the omegascape is that it is filled with the most infamous superbosses from final fantasy
Think about it he is using myths and legends to biuld his next rival why not go for the evil bosses like penance from ffx or absolute virtue from Ffxi
A whole tier of superbosses would be fun

Given the current order of progression it's almost undoubtedly going to be Sephiroth, though whether or not he's the third or fourth boss is anyone's guess. It just looks silly to go from FFV to FFVI and then skip over FFVII entirely to backtrack to older titles. Now, with that said do I /want/ Sephiroth in this game? No. He's easily my least favorite villain in the series as I think he's exceedingly overrated and represents the parts of FFVII that I've grown to despise as I've grown older. However I also would be much happier just getting his cameo out of the way /now/ rather than in later expansions. If only so that it can be done and over with.
(A disclaimer, since I'm sure my words might have rubbed people the wrong way. I don't think it's wrong to like or want Sephiroth to make a cameo appearance. Differences of opinion occur and I'm merely expressing my own.)

if it is 7 i'd much rather it be Jenova we deal with.
If they want to include sephiroth just have him pop up after you win and get LB'd down like the little b*&^$ he is just like the original ff7 before they retconned it into something unrecognizable for all the teens that went crazy for him for no apparent reason
Having realized from the simulations your character is the ultimate battle it decides to run simulations of it fighting you itself would be far more interesting to me though
Kefka is among the most popular antagonists in the series, rivaled only by Sephiroth.
For the majority of players familiar with Final Fantasy, going from Kefka to anybody BUT Sephiroth will seem odd.
That said, given the popularity of both Kefka and Sephiroth, it would be odd to blow their metaphorical load on both of them back to back. It would make more sense to save Sephiroth for later (Possibly closer to the FF7 remake, or in a raid series focusing on the 3 PS1 era FF's). The more logical choice would be Golbez, and keep the theme of SNES era Final Fantasy games. But throwing Kefka before Golbez also seems like it would be an odd choice.
Unless, of course, Kefka will play a larger role in the storyline as a whole going forward, and not be a one and done boss the way ExDeath was...And possibly beyond in the next expansion, should he find some way out of Omega the way Alpha did. With Kefka's unpredictability conflicting with an otherwise logical thinking Omega, it's possible. After all, ExDeath kind of came out of nowhere as a surprise. But they want us to know in advance that Kefka is being featured in this patch. To the point that the patch trailer opened with the immediately recognizable Dancing Mad...And at least for me, that killed off any level of interest I had in the new MSQ villain they were trying to sell me on. Or anything else in the trailer for that matter...Well, except for the Phantom Train. But the rest of it I didn't care about. Seeing that sadistic grin on my screen at the end was the highlight of the whole trailer. I'm sure it was for many other longtime series fans as well.
An odd choice, to be sure. They wanted you to know right from the start "Hey. Kefka. KEFKA. WE HAVE KEFKA HERE!" instead of holding off till the end and letting you really absorb everything else the patch had to offer first before dropping that bomb on you.
Its going in Order.
FF5 exdeath
FF6 Kefka
FF7 Sephiroth
and yes I want sephiroth why you guys scared of getting your butt kicked by sephiroth like he did in kingdom hearts ahahaha.
