Currently an FC needs rank 6, but that really doesn't take that long to get if working on just that. Multiple players have done it in under a day and I've personally done it solo in a rather crazy 7 hours. I'm sure some people have done it even faster than that too.

I've ranked an FC solo in about a week or so without excessive grinding, just expert dungeon turn ins. If anything they need to increase the required experience or something. :/

My thought is that you should apply the new rules retroactively, like you've done with other housing rules (auto-demolition for example). Every player should be playing by the same standard. Ideally your number one issue is to focus on bringing as many houses as the servers will allow, but failing that you should be trying to maximize the current supply to as many *different* players as possible.Greetings,
Yoshida mentioned during the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XLI that the rules being added in Patch 4.2 will be applicable to new purchases only. Players who already possess more than one FC estate and 1 personal estate per world will not lose their existing housing.
We appreciate all the feedback shared so far and will continue to pass your thoughts along to the dev. team!

Curious question to those multi house owners.... Are they "Stuck" on their plot or can they still relocate and keep their houses...?

In the recent live letter:
So although it only says about FC estates, it does confirm purchase and relocate are different, so it looks very much like multiple personal house owners will still be able to relocate as we know that it's the purchase step which has the restrictions.
Back when SE first originally announced the relocate function at all they only gave an example with FC usage and of course it turned out that relocate works personal as well so I don't think this will be any different.
You are correct per the patch notes that was released this morning Personal housing owners will be able to relocate if they currently have a home.In the recent live letter:

Honestly I would personally have it so multiple house owners would be stuck unable to relocate or buy another house until they lower their holdings to the 1/1 limit. To be clear i'm not hating on the small time benign multi home owners (2-6? homes) but, in order to fix the problem there will still be unfortunate victims no matter the solution. That said they wouldn't be loosing any of their homes yet. However, SE has seen it so multi home owners simply cannot acquire any new homes which is still acceptable at this time. This is a small solution on a still major problem but a clear step in the right direction.
Are there any news on how its going to be handled when you have more than fc 2 houses? I do RP and my old FC house has 1000 of hours of attachment to it we do regular events there with 20+ people and I'm not willing to give that up - even less so my private FC house that I worked for like an Animal over months and months to get the money! Do I need another account so I don't have to choose one of them? I'll RP almost everyday there with friends so.. I'm kinda lost and scared that this is just going away form me - We just made them FC houses so we could use rooms...
Also.. this only means the owner of the FC right? So any normal person in the guild can have houses or fc houses with other chars..?
