    my launcher showing nothing but black screen

    Hi All, I'm Having a Issue with the Launcher Showing up Black, it was working fine like always,but when i try downloading the patch,my avast suddenly turn my pc into safe mode,after that i wanto re download the patch,the launcher suddenly black, ive done everything i know for this like turn off firewall,turn off all kind anti virus i had and i even reinstall the game it but still not showing anything
    and im from EU server

    please help T_T

    I have issues too, except with me it's the following error:

    "A system error has occurred: -2146697208. http://frontier.ffxiv.com/version_4_0_win/index.html?rc_lang=eng_gb&time=2018-01-30-10"

    wtf is this? I've tried turning off my virusscanner, resetting router, clearing internet cache. And I don't really want to reinstall the game unless absolutely needed.

    What else can i try? =/

    Edit: Also tried running the launcher as administrator, but that just gives me a black launcher with nothing in it =/

    Can you elaborate on the kind of issue you are having?

    Please provide:

    - Type of connection (wired or wireless)
    - Other programs running while the game is playing (if any)
    - Frequency at which issue occurs
    - Everything you have tried to resolve the issue

    You mentioned that your PC was running in safe mode correct? is it still in safe mode or did you turn that off?

    -Im using wireless wifi
    -ive only hav nvidia and chrome in the background
    -(I don't understand what frequency u meant srry)
    -ive turn off all my anti-virus,set IE as default browser, clean cookies and cache and the worst are ive re-install it completely

    Thank you for the reply Ecto478,

    By frequency, I should have asked if it happens every time you try or is there some sort of variation to it.

    A black screen on the launcher indicates a connection issue. I would suggest using a wired connection using an ethernet cable and disabling all background applications and programs (even if you think they won't interfere).
