But my point is that not every hairstyle without restriction is trying to fit both males and females, many of them are clearly trying to fit only males, or only females, even if they allow the other gender to use it. There's nothing androgynous or masculine about the twin buns, that's 100% feminine, and I'd bet anything if they disallow males from using it the hairstyle would still look exactly as it does right now.

It is true there are several hairstyles that are neutral, but it's not true that every hairstyle is neutral. The limitation of style doesn't exist, they have already shown they can do it.
