WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?

If crafted gear continues to be dyeable versions of old raid gear, then that means there'll be a dyeable Yafaemi Aiming set. As that's one of my all-time favorite glams right now, color me excited for when that eventually happens.
I'm cool with the hairstyles, and even cooler with the fact that they continue to be unisex. Try it on your dudes before passing on them entirely. Some of the "feminine" looks of recent ones turn out to be perfectly fine on male characters.
As for the Mendacity gear, I'm pumped. It all looks good, but I'm especially motivated to level my healer again, because that hat (which everyone thought was a new hairstyle) is a Mongolian-style headdress, and there is no such thing as too many Xaela glams.

Depends on how you define "unisex". Everything that's not on the most extreme ends of the feminity/masculinity spectrum?
For HW, it's almost a fully even 50:50 split between male and female designs, they were literally taken from female/male characters in another game respectively (Type 0 to be precise). Similar with stormbloods release, there were two short cuts, one feminine and one masculine - If you're searching for "feminine short cuts for women" or "feminine short styles" on google, you'll find the prior one. But it's unisex because it's not long, right? I wager it also needs frills and ribbons to be feminine. Or sth. 4.1 brought the cute bun haircut for females and the frizzy samurai ponytail for males - Very clearly unisex hairstyles.
Now they're doing it again, there's one male and a female cut. Have you seen that super short hairstyle with Stormblood with the side-shave? It's very clearly masculine and that hasn't stopped them from making it. Do you see that long cut? It's very clearly feminine and that hasn't stopped them from making it. Making things available to both genders hasn't stopped them from making gender specific hairstyles. That notion is rubbish. The notion that they are doing unisex hairstyles to avoid gender specific hairstyles is also rubbish. The evidence goes very clearly against that. They aren't stretching to make them work for everyone. Cinque's hair DOESN'T work for everyone. How much evidence do you need before you abandon the idea?
They always do the same, they pick one male and one female hairstyle. You simply either like them or you don't. With this and the last patch, i.e. "lately", they've actually been giving the females quite overtly feminine cuts. And yet people still cling to the "unisex" idea. It's been disproven over and over. And it's getting tiring to read. The only thing you achieve by asking them to stop doing what they are doing right now is to get 50% less hairstyles total, because they already design the hairstyles with male/female in mind and have done so all this time, whether the hairstyles are fitting your ideal of "feminity" or "masculinity" or not.
...that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. People have been asking for Yotsuyu's hairstyle, yes. Yet people have also been asking for Hien's hairstyle, more facial hair options, authentic eyebrows for Highlander men and a bunch of other similar things.
Yet when people ask for things like Yotsuyu's hairstyle and Edda's dress those requests are priortised and implemented swiftly.
When people ask for things like more masculine customisation options and a male version of the infamous bunny outfit the can is kicked down the road or there's simply static instead.
The complaints aren't coming out of nowhere - they're very valid given the established trends and the general dismissive attitude towards male characters and male customisation options.

lol the new emote is a copy/paste of the female midlander's goodbye... and eeeh about the hairstyles (esp the one the au ra has, ew). i get SE is basically pushing Far East at every turn but i'd kind of like a little more in regards to ala mhigo's culture, eg; furniture, glamour sets. it's disappointing the only ala mhigan attire we have is verity gear and lvl70 crafting/gathering and maybe some others...
There's also a lot of furniture and glamour displayed around Ishgard that would be nice to have access to.lol the new emote is a copy/paste of the female midlander's goodbye... and eeeh about the hairstyles (esp the one the au ra has, ew). i get SE is basically pushing Far East at every turn but i'd kind of like a little more in regards to ala mhigo's culture, eg; furniture, glamour sets. it's disappointing the only ala mhigan attire we have is verity gear and lvl70 crafting/gathering and maybe some others...

I know there's demand for a lot of other things. But I like to point out the demand never stops, and nobody ever seems to say "thank you".. just "gimme".
By all means please continue requesting things you want and I'll stand right behind you because more customization options is awesome.
Maybe don't act like they give us nothing we ask for though.
I cannot wait for people to ask for female facial hair when they implement it for guys.
