finding fish

I am pretty sure OP gets that. They are wondering why there isn't more information available to us in game, especially for fish we have already caught and discovered. We shouldn't have to rely so heavily on a third party website. We also can't search the fish log. I can't type in Sweatfish and get its location (the only info saved in game) to pop up for me, but I can type in Wind Shard and it'll tell me all the places I can get that item. to find a fish's location I have to manually look through the log.
