FFXIV window glitch

Not really sure how else to phrase it, but when I have FFXIV open on my one screen (borderless windowed) and then open like a steam game on the other (seems to be if said game is set to fullscreen but not completely sure) and then try to go back to FFXIV and click it to do something I click THROUGH FFXIV and my computer switches to whatever is behind the game (like my web browser, or if nothing else is there simply the desktop). Only way I have found to fix this is by using the numpad to go into graphics options, set it to windowed, then hit apply and then i click no (to keep settings) which resets it back to borderless windowed and I can once again click on and play FFXIV. This only seemed to start happening recently (like 2-3 weeks approx).

It sounds like you are trying to run two games at once, correct? Have you tried having both run in borderless fullscreen? Does this affect anything?

well FFXIV yes i run in borderless window, the other games if they have the option i do but not all of them do, many are either windowed or fullscreen. The only game that "suffers" really is FFXIV with the whole "unable to click on the game until i make it full windowed and then back".

I'm assuming you are actually clicking on FFXIV with the mouse, correct? Have you tried to Alt+Tab to it? Or does this same issue occur?
