I'll never get bored of WAR's hilarious job quests whenever it has Curious Gorge in it! Rather than an intense and serious set of quests, it was more comical and funny. Had some good laugh while doing it especially the lvl 70 job quest.

I’ve done a lot of 60~70 job quests, but the absolute best—hands down—was DRK. DRK has been fairly consistent in the awesomeness of its job quests.
AST’s 60~70 wasn’t too bad either. I enjoyed it more than 30~50 and 50~60 at least.

Best: DRK/RDM
Worst: WAR, why did they need to destroy that with putting an Au Ra into the mix?
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
My favorite thus far has been DRK, simply because you-know-who often has the thoughts that ran through my mind during the endless fetch quests that Minfilia kept sending me on. I also like this idea that the WoL isn't this person that accepts pretty much everything thrown at them, that they have their doubts that tend to manifest in huge ways. It really struck a chord with me...
...dammit, I think I have fallen into the trap of feeling a bond with my character. Is that normal with MMOs (this is still my first and only real MMO experience).
From personal experience, I'd say RDM would be a distant second, followed closely by AST/SAM.

It's more common than you might think. Roleplayers thrive off exactly that, but it can happen to anyone if the character and world draw you in. Enjoy it.![]()

DRK hands down.
It annoyed me how the Au Ra WAR was using emotes on every sentence. It's like the dev team wanted to make her cute on purpose to delight themselves with their actions.
I thought the DRG quest line was touching, although a slow start with the only payoff being the end. You learn a little bit about the effect Nidhogg had in this war on Ishgard and you get to see a certain badass Dragoon again.

Ok, i only skimmed this thread but everyone here is wrong. The same class has the best quest line pre 50(mad scientist!), 50-60(murder mystery!), and 60-70(better murder mystery!). The answer is alchemist. The alchemist quest line is always the best written and most interesting. And yes, i know that isnt what you asked. But ive only leveled 1 and a half battle classes, so can offer no good comparisons. Still, ALC is best.

Out of the one's I've completed to 70 I'd say WHM/AST/SAM are my three favorites thus far. The worst one's are WAR & PLD. PLD I couldn't get invested in the story quest so I actually stopped leveling PLD it was so bad. WAR is basically the same damn plot recycled over and over since the very beginning. It had a few funny moments in the SB one's and that is probably the only reason I finished them. Curious Gorge can otherwise get lost. I'm so sick of that guy haha...
I have mixed feelings about most questlines that weren't really job quests. WHM and PLD come to mind, it would've made very little difference if you were a CNJ or GLA.
Favorite questlines... BLM always hits close to home because of how well it fits my chara's rp story, and the fleshed out lore regarding our relic weapon was a very nice touch indeed. On broader story strokes, DRK was amazing but there were a couple of contradiction with the 30-50 questlines that rubbed me off the wrong way. That's why SMN gets my vote as best, I love how close its plot is to a lot of things that don't necessarily affect the MSQ currently but are in the midst of the world's lore, like Ascians or Allag. Next one worth mentioning imo is MCH, it always feels relevant.
