Anyone else is super annoyed by the fact that our Chocobos are only referred to as males? My Chocobo, in my eyes, in my heart, is a female. My pink Chocobo named Tarot is a female, not a male. We should be able to pick their gender somewhere when they are stabled, or when we get them, or something.

Aye, I had to rename my chocobo because of that. I'd given them a female name, but the game constantly referred to them as male, so I had to rename them to a male name. Plus, the Gold Saucer has male and female chocobos, I wonder if it'd be possible to extrapolate on that and allow our companion chocobos to work in the same way.

There is a lore reason that all player chocobos are male. I believe it has something to do with Ishgard having a monopoly on female chocobos and chocobo breeding. That said, it would still be nice to be given an option to choose a female chocobo companion.

I feel like this isn't that big of a deal. Its just characters referring to your chocobo, maybe they don't know or care to check??? You can just pretend anyway if its cannon.

When you get to chocobo races, they are male and female. Then there is the MSQ about Leia's egg. And I did never see explicit male and female terms for chocobos. Just references to Chocobo, that is a masculine noun whatever the gender of the bird they refer to, as it can be Judge or Observer.

If I remember correctly, there's an action you do at the stable that mention "him" as your chocobo, I'll check tonight when I'm back home.
