Do you think certain Party Finder listings should be filtered in some way?

You can already filter the PF list.

A better approach would either be to have your filters preserved through logouts and such (Meaning you could filter out duties or simply dial in on the categories that interest you and leave it at that), or imho the better approach which is simply the ability to /blist PFs.

And pray do tell me how to do so to filter the PF so I can see the legit roulette listings, but not see the completely unrelated content selling shenanigans since 4.1 in the roulette part of the party finder. I do help people in roulette party finders from time to time.

Crap. I just made a thread about this. I'm pushing for a 'Report' option, because people are using main tags so that their ads show up in the top in Standard View. I have nothing against people advertising that kind of stuff, but it should be in the 'Private' PFs and not at the top of my list when I'm looking for a party to do my dailies with. It's annoying.

Depending on the content, Sillica is correct. Ultimate, for instance, will always be piloted. The going rate is $1,000-1,200. Everything else can be 7-manned, though I do not doubt for a second real money transactions happen there too.

Never thought I'd be questioning people's life choices when it comes to a game.

Yep. Groups sell Ultimate for $1,200 USD, and divide it by 8 for the static/group that is clearing for the buyer.

It was easy enough before to ignore the rogue party here and there, but the amount of PFs that have appeared as of late is ridiculous, and quite frankly, a tad annoying. Unfortunately, without an active moderator for the PF, not much can be done about them. :/

The most confusing thing about all of this to me is that this isn't even a p2w game. I would rather sink that much money into some thrash korean f2p game than this game. Or buy myself some games on steam or some PS4 games.

Well, it's a one-of-a-kind achievement/title for content that they're probably going to 'difficulty lock' as is. And as is, only a couple hundred people or so are realistically capable of beating it.

Supply and demand, your options are either get good, shell out the money, or just not get the title. Exclusivity is an expensive luxury people have paid far more ludicrous sums of cash for.

Once you're done getting wound up about it, the filter button is in the top right hand corner. But you already knew that.

*edit* in all seriousness, I'm pretty sure it is actually dooable with the existing filters, if you've not figured it out by the time I'm back from work. I'll post up a couple of examples.

I just find it a little annoying. It's not really something I take issue with, if they are just "selling runs" (i.e. you pay them x gil and in return they stick around and help you get whatever clear). It's just annoying when I'm trying to get into 50/60 roulette on my BRD, for example, and I see a healer in the PF looking for a 50/60 party only to realize it's a run seller.

In all honesty there should not be any selling ads on the data centre tab - they should be limited to the world tab as you can only trade with those from your world. So I would guess that those on the data centre tab are getting money out of the game and surely that should be treated by SE the same way as RMT sellers? I may be naive but its selling game content for real world money - no different in my mind than selling gil for real worl money.
