Do you think certain Party Finder listings should be filtered in some way?

Do you think these these "sale" over discord party listings should be filtered in some way?

It wasn't an issue before in any point before, even throughout most of Stormblood.

But lately, it started appearing more often in roulette categories just to be first in line of being shown.

Maybe crack down on people trying to "Sell" content. I mean some of these things they're trying to sell they have no way of guaranteeing a clear since its stuff which requires the entire team to be on the ball.

I'd assume it works just like some other games where you give your account to them and receive it back once the job is done. Nothing I'd ever do/suggest to anyone though.

At the very least, what needs to be a thing is PF blacklist. We can sort whether or not SE is addressing this issue later.

The problem is SE decided ages ago after the launch of Coil that selling clears with Gil or other things available within the game is fine.

The argument is that it's no different than me asking a crafter for a specific peice of gear and paying them for it, or getting my DPS buddy a short queue by going with them as a healer, and then having them do the same for me. It's something of value in the game traded for something of value in the game.

Buying a clear, then having the party take the money and run, however, IS reportable.


It's only really muddy now since PF allows cross-server parties, and you can't currently trade or mail across servers.

So, SE needs to update their stance on selling clears for clarity's sake.

Depending on the content, Sillica is correct. Ultimate, for instance, will always be piloted. The going rate is $1,000-1,200. Everything else can be 7-manned, though I do not doubt for a second real money transactions happen there too.

I strongly support the idea of a filter for this type of in-game advertising. SE could simply add an additional ad. tab to the PF'er, and make any ads. put up outside of that tab reportable. In addition to cutting down on clutter, I think it would be a great way for them to encourage the use of an in-game tool for more abstract group-promotion (searching for statics, static members, selling clears/crafting/etc., role-playing). So it wouldn't have to be strictly punitive.

Failing that, I think a PF-blacklist would do the trick. I'd happily blacklist content sellers, even if it had the side effect of omitting any other party the blacklisted individual might make.

You can already filter the PF list.

A better approach would either be to have your filters preserved through logouts and such (Meaning you could filter out duties or simply dial in on the categories that interest you and leave it at that), or imho the better approach which is simply the ability to /blist PFs.

Holy smokes SE needs to do something soon because it was more prevalent, but never that.... exploitative!
