Peisteskin Raptorskin styled undergarments and tops would be nice why not get some leathers involved for the upper teir'd undergarments.

would like to see primal armour to go with weapons.mabey trade weapons for gear sets?

im kinda dissapointed we dont have much in the upper tiers cloathing style wise.

would be nice to see to the lalafells pj's to be useable for the other races aswell.

wonder if we will be able to make swim gear at a later time?

Bloodshot oozing eyes reminds me of some kid with conjuctivitis... Which is just as terrifying as anything else in this world. (Point thy oozing gaze elsewhere, foul creature!) I think Dodore, with it's creepy cloak of fog and scary Mor Dhona theme fits as an intense mob.

Having the music change around the presence of certain mobs can add to the creepy feature. In FFVII one loud toll of a single bell told you everything you needed to know. Right now it may not be possible, but with the right presentation, even a rabid marmot can be intense.
    Rabit marmot? Absolutely.
Dodore, on the other hand.. I've never fought it, but the pictures always remind me of the first time I saw Shadow Eye in Xarcabard and didn't notice it wasn't just a regular Evil Eye. It's not really that scary. The 15043096847098637598 minions are what's scary. :P

Changing the music around mobs is a great idea. :0 Especially if it overrides this crappy battle music. :/

Swim gear will probably be an event item like it was in XI, since we can't swim. If swimming were added to XIV, I'm sure they'd just make it just to throw "Swimming Speed +10%" on it.

In either case, I'll be waiting to wear my scanty booty shorts around on my character. Sadly, I will hopefully be a miqo'te, and no longer be able to scar people with my elvaan swim trunk.

I think there's a place in ffxiv for both. I wouldn't call the current content "childish" but there is an absence of content that is perhaps darker or more serious in tone. Just because something is cute doesn't make it instantly childish, I still love Pixar movies and I'm going to be 22 this year. But on the same note, I also love darker stories that have a sense of macabre about it.

This may be addressed in the future though. Currently we just have the basic areas that arrived with the game, alot of the more 'serious' or more 'dark' FFXI enemies came in the expansions (like prommies) but at the same time there were more less threatening-looking mobs too like lolbri (even if they do throw a mean peck). As long as there's a balance between the two I think that's fine and I recognise the lack of enemies that really invoke a horrified reaction in the player (that do exist in other FF games). With the map redesigns coming in 2.0 though I have a feeling they may be holding back on us since certain new mobs like the rock golem and ifrit have been a little more serious in tone.

P.S. I don't think you can really judge the moogle fight as childish, it was meant to be christmas related. =p

My wifes kids (7 and 8 year olds) see people running around with weapons with moogles on them and wonder if they can play and have one of those too? I've also just viewed the video introducing magic carpet rides on the heads of Goobbue. I would class both of these things as stuff that would appeal to the younger generations and probably some of the adults with kiddy tendencies still in them.

Now that you have had a little fun, can we have some content that might appeal to those of us who think a piest type mount would be cool or battles with monsters rather than soft squishy creatures that we thought were our friends?

Just a suggestion. Would think the crowd can only take so much of weapons that look more like a child's toy rather than a serious looking weapon that could do damage (a salad fork for a lance?).

    I rest my case, lol.

Ok everyone, light your flame throwers. Ready? Go!
You don't actually give any suggestion in your post, only criticism.
Update your opening post with actual "adult" things you'd like to see, if you don't, don't be surprised the devs don't follow or don't bring you what you want.

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
