Adult Content, Can I have it?

Now that we have some content for the kiddies, can we please have some more content that would appeal to those of us that are 18 and older?

My wifes kids (7 and 8 year olds) see people running around with weapons with moogles on them and wonder if they can play and have one of those too? I've also just viewed the video introducing magic carpet rides on the heads of Goobbue. I would class both of these things as stuff that would appeal to the younger generations and probably some of the adults with kiddy tendencies still in them.

Now that you have had a little fun, can we have some content that might appeal to those of us who think a piest type mount would be cool or battles with monsters rather than soft squishy creatures that we thought were our friends?

Just a suggestion. Would think the crowd can only take so much of weapons that look more like a child's toy rather than a serious looking weapon that could do damage (a salad fork for a lance?).

    I rest my case, lol.

Ok everyone, light your flame throwers. Ready? Go!

    I absolutely agree!
Just because things are pretty doesn't mean they have to be childish!!! (like the stupid looking Moogle weapons!)

But lol, when I saw the name of the topic I thought you were suggesting something else lmao. I think there's enough of THAT in the miner guild and the Fisherman quests xD

Musketeer gets a Gears of War-esque Fully Automatic Rifle w/ undermounted chainsaw.
Immediately gets to be the most OP class in the game.
Can tank with Chest-High Wall ability 'Cover'
In melee range? Chainsaw is OHKO
out of melee range? 'Active Reload' Raging Strikes x Berserk x Blood 4 Blood. Stacks w/ B4B too. -> 'Longshot Headshot' Switch to the Longshot and kill your target. Combo's with 'Hammer of Dawn' - Kills everything in area of effect. Suicidable: Yes.
New moogle strat is MUS MUS MUS MUS MUS MUS MUS CON. (Con just incase.)
Kill time is 30 seconds after momento.

Best. Game. Ever. Yeah, I'm off to play GoW.

Inb4 flamers - YES I'M JOKING. While some mature content would be good, I can play other games already for this.

I totally agree that a lot of things seem to appeal more to kids. I'd really like to stress how unimpressive the "HNMs" of XIV are--I think it ties into the "adult content" request.

I think SE needs to focus on impressive bosses and gear that will appeal to us "seasoned adventurers." So you have two giant buffalo, much like XI had two giant rams. I get it--the big, climactic bosses will come later. But where is Shadow Lord? The final main story quest at level 50 for XIV is against a flying stick with Alexander-like moves and some soldiers.

So far, nearly every mission of mine has been against squishy or silly-looking creatures. Yarzons, deer, squirrels, etc.

I realize that I'm comparing near-release (well, not really, but...pre-re-release?) HNMs to ones that developed over 3-4 expansions in XI. However, coming from XI, I kind of had an expectation that they would improve on what they'd learned. Not start over.

On top of that, look at the buffalo which the used for two different scary NMs--they look chilled out, or maybe even content. Not angry and intimidating like a high-leveled NM should.
    vs.

And if I wasn't already thoroughly disappointed, what do they make a big deal out of? A moogle named "Good King Moogle Mog XII".

I'm not saying I want them to remake these things before 2.0. However, for 2.0 I'd definitely like to see a shift towards scary/impressive creatures and equipment. Not that I don't respect the effort it took to model those imperial war machines. I couldn't imagine! The end results, though, look, well... like I said earlier: like flying sticks.

The armor and weapon that Raubahn has, in a certain quest cut-scene, is frickin awesome. We definitely need more armor and weapons like that. Same with the Empires armor and weapons.

From Helmets with horns, to a blade with water inside it. Final Fantasy has always impressed me with the gear/item designs (concept art is always cool in like the instruction manuals, or on the packaging, in the FF logo) along with the elaborate trippy graphic spells (Especially in the later games). 14 has really yet to impress me with this.

I just hope that the "Artifact Gear" for the jobs is going to be on a similar scale of coolness.

Based on the size of the pictures my bet is on the buffalo =p

Also speak for yourself, I find yarzons terrifying. They're all limbs and creepy looking.

D= I tried to match the width, and that happened. xD

But as far as yarzons, they look too much like promy monsters from XI. Whose @$$es I've kicked too many times to get any real enjoyment out of killing them by another name in XIV.
