Horrible lag on Odin server Night time

Hi!
I can play without any conection issue on day time but every single night the game jusy "pauses" for several seconds in dungeons and such. This makes the game totaly unplayble night time when I can't dodge AOEs. I have "Excellent" conection in the menu and my trace route hasen't showed any weird spikes. Please help!

Do you have Cox as your ISP?

Me and my friends experience the same. This happens particularly after patch 4.15. There are people reporting the same on Reddit as well.
Note that me and my friends have different ISPs and we even are from different countries.
I just hope SE can look into it and improve it.

Can you elaborate on the kind of issue you are having?

Please provide:

- Platform (PC, PS4, Mac)
- the nature of the latency
- Type of connection (wired or wireless)
- Other programs running while the game is playing (if any)
- Everything you have tried to resolve the issue

Please be aware that Final Fantasy XIV requires a more demanding connection than many other websites and applications. Additionally, your ISP may take you through a certain route to get you to the XIV server and a different route to other websites, meaning you might run into problems with one service but not another simply because of the path your internet chooses to get there.

Hi Ariellendera!
1. PC
2. The game "pauses" everything just stops and then alot has happend (taken damage all at once cause of the skip often 2-30 seconds).
3. Wired
4. Discord and Spotify note that I have tried with only FFXIV on and it dosen't change anything.
5. Open ports in my router, Done trace routes and I haven't found anything super weird. Reinstalled the game.

I know you mentioned that this issues effects your game play at night. Can you be more specific on what time this seems to start? Have you made any changes or updates that may coincide with when this started? Have you tried contacting your ISP to report this issue?

Around 20:00 CET, It dosen't happen every day either yesterday was pretty much lag free. Yes my ISP says that everthing is in order. I don't lag in other games when I lag on FFXIV either for example Elder scrolls online and league of legends. I have enable QoS on my router and changed ethernet port on the router too.
