I think what it all comes down to is that there is equal fault on both sides. Here's a breakdown of what people need to understand.
Dungeons are for learning jobs:
No one is going to come out of gate knowing a job and having mastery of it. It doesnt help that palace of the dead skyrockets them to 60 without them getting actual job training. I understand that we get impatient after running the same dungeon over and over, but we need to also understand that dungeons are the only way for people on new jobs to get field training and experience. And while I understand the impatience, we can do something about our impatient attitudes (Im guilty of it at times as well as im sure we all are). They cant do anything about being new to the job besides learn, and that is why they are in the dungeon.
With that said, this is the place for understanding, patience, and positive constructive critisism if they want it. Some people just want to learn for themselves as well and if that is the case leave them to it and dont get offended that they want to do it on their own. Thats just how some people learn the best.
Raids and ex trials are for seeking a higher mastery of your job:
So let me first say, if you are thinking of joining raids (standard omega) or ex trials, you should have a good grasp of your job. Keep in mind that people joining these may not be masters of their jobs, rotations, cool down management, etc. This is a good place for them to achieve a higher level of mastery in their job. With this area, they should be open to constructive critism if something they are doing isnt working. At this point, if they can not take constructive critisism the party has every right to kick I feel. (i.e. You suck! Get gud scrub! is NOT constructive critisism, tell the player where the error is and give a suggestion on how they can fix it.). But if they take the critisism and are trying to improve, be patient and continue helping. We all start somewhere and keep im mind, we dont all learn at the same pace.
Finally, Savage is NOT a place to learn or master your job:
Let me be to the point here. If you are going into savage content, you need to understand that you are expected to have mastery over your job. If you decide to join up for savage without having this mastery of your job, you are immediately in the wrong. Understand that if you do this, you are in fact harrassing the party you joined by wasting their time and joining content you are not prepared for. In these cases, I feel the party has the right to flat out kick someone who "repeatedly" fails to fufil the roles of their job. Now, note I said repeatedly. Keep in mind everyone makes mistakes. Dont rip someone a new one just from one mistake. Give them a chance to show you that they just had mess up and prove to you they know what they are doing before you go on the offensive.
Regardless of all of this, something everyone should keep in mind whether you like it or not. A kind word goes much farther than an aggressive one.
