I was in an ARF party the other day, and the black mage was just not doing much damage at all. The tank could've yelled and screamed and stomped his feet that a dungeon that already seems to take way too long was taking that much longer.

But he didn't. He kindly explained why they'd want to use Fire 2 over 3, and how to restore their mana with Ice spells. Most players think "well they're level 50, they should absolutely know that by now", but it was really nice to see a tank that was patient and kind.

Reminds me of when I played monk at endgame and had no idea that different actions did better damage when executed from different angles (positionals). Back then, I didn't even know our action skills had write-ups about them. I thought it was just a list of all the ones I'd learned thus far so I never paid any attention to it until a kind soul explained that they did indeed have little popups and such. This was before Hall of the Novice and all of that.
