Overwatch is a toxic swamp not a friendly game.

Replace "Overwatch is" with "Blizzard Games are"
I've only been playing just a touch over 2 weeks now and have run a few dungeons. I've played MMO's for years and am aware that tanking in a game is usually an acquired talent, but this time, I jumped in feet first. Have done most of the dungeons I've unlocked up to The Navel trial and have to say that all of my groups have been patient with me and been more than welcome to give advice when it looks like I'm needing it. I've even been called down once after a wipe (which was basically my lack of keeping aggro sufficiently) and it was direct, but politely given. It's nice to know that there are still some human beings around.![]()

Its enjoyable experience, just make sure you will use the cooldown abilities that boosts your deffences frequently, it helps a tons in the long run, as a tank you specially need to use them on trash mobs, since they happen to do more dmg than the bosses a lot of times. :P
Well, lets enjoy it before community from world of tragedy will force square enix to implement ingame parser, so it will be the second world of wacraft with no warcraft in it. XD
It goes both ways. there are players who are oversensative and take criticism no matter how it is delivered as an personal attack against them. Then you have those that think insulting others is a nice way to motivate others and since they are oke with receiving feedback in a such manner, they assume that it should be fine for others aswell.
People need to remember that behind the characters are real people and not everyone can handle what you can handle or accepts certain things in the same way as you do.
Can thank the wishy-washy approach to parsing by the devs for that.

No time to read the whole thread but wanted to share a recent experience to see if this qualifies...
I went into the Rabanastre dungeon last night for the first time (as Ninja - 320 iLVL) and while I studied up on the mechanics it was still a whirlwind and tough at times. I died a couple times and we only wiped once, but towards the end the Tank marked with with the 'X' target, then the Healer added the 'Do Not Attack' (I think - circle with an x in it) on me as well. It made seeing everything a lot more difficult and I didn't know if this was their way of saying, 'You suck dude,' or if there was a strategic reason, or if they were just screwing around. I didn't report anyone, but figure this is the place to ask (and I'm working on getting better!).

I don't know what they were thinking, but that's not something I see routinely done for strategic reasons. There's no particular reason to have a marker on the third boss aside from A/B/C on the ground, and the final boss doesn't need markers at all. Putting it on a player who doesn't know why it's there isn't going to signify anything useful to the group.I went into the Rabanastre dungeon last night for the first time (as Ninja - 320 iLVL) and while I studied up on the mechanics it was still a whirlwind and tough at times. And I mean, dying a couple of times in Rabanastre isn't a big deal. I consider it a good night if I don't res the same person three times on Hashmal.

I have seen people do that to players that AFK during 24 man raids, so they get carried the whole way, which in this case is more like "we see you not doing anything".
I believe some do that when someone dies a lot or does very poor dps... although it's very rare.

Ah, so harassment. Thanks.
