FFXIV Launcher [Black Screen] ;-;

So , Few Hours ago my Game was working Perfectly Fine , i restarted my PC , then my FFXIV Launcher wont show anything but a Black Screen and sometimes its a white screen

How to fix this?
i tried Lowering IE (internet Explorer) Security Level , Tired Flushing my DNS , Tried Chaning The '' FFXIV.Cfg '' Note Pad Number from ''0'' to ''1'' (Not all of them )
Also tried deleting the notepad File , none of them seem to work .

I just had this similar nightmare this week(never seen a white screen), everytime i had tried to open the launcher it was immediately black. I tried reinstalling like 10 times, deleted all the old files and folders before each attempted reinstall, and still continued having the black screen. No antivirus up or anything =/

Finally caved in and did that pc reset factory settings. Not sure if it was ms 10 being a pain but finally everything is working again.

Id imagine some moderator will suggest the reinstall. Hope your ordeal goes smoother than mine

Has anything on your computer updated recently?

What have you done to solve the issue up until this point? Are your graphics card drivers up to date? Additionally, have you tried lowering the resolution or graphics settings (even if your GPU can obviously handle it), does this have any effect, or does the frame rate remain constant regardless of what you choose?

If none of this seems to have any affect, try turning off Direct X 11 mode and see if this adds any more stability to the game. Also, disable any programs in the background while you are playing the game (again, even if your computer should be able to handle it).

If any of these solves your issue, please let us know so we can further assist others with the similar problems. We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Launcher issue = browser issue. If you have another browser such as Chrome, set it as default and see if this helps.

I believe its the Meltdown and Specter patching by MS. What CPU are you running ?
