Glamour System Update specification

Based just on what basic info we have so far, it sounds something like this.

You use glamour prisms to add gear to your dresser. * In innroom only.
You assign dressered gear to special dresser gearsets called "plates".
You "apply" the plate to change your appearance. * Anywhere. Slash command available.
Optionally, overwrite single slots by applying glamours to items in the pre-4.2 way.

So you could BLM, apply a plate containing a black outfit, switch to RDM with the same gear, and apply a plate containing a red outfit.



This is, of course, just interpretation of an incomplete picture. Maybe they'll talk more about it at the next PLL.

I have a follow-up question which might be a dumb question but: Does anyone know if this is a replacement or an addition to the old system?

Not a dumb question. This is one of the things we are certain about. They have explicitly stated that the old system will remain in place for those who want to use it for singular items.

Commodes can retain up to 200 glamours. We would like for you to add items you are most likely to use for glamour.

The role restrictions will still remain, but you’ll also be able to create macros which can swap ensembles along with gear set macros.

You can make ensembles of specific parts of a set of gear, and also apply regular glamours as usual.

Dyes can be applied per ensemble.

Certain items, such as those that can be stored in the armoire, does not need to be converted to glamours.
