Regarding the maps, I think it would have been better if all maps were available in ranked matches during pre-Season and later removed if they are deemed too imbalanced with the new changes. That way we know for sure that the maps need to changed. The fact that you now will respawn where you got knocked out could lead to entire matches taking place in one corner of the map.

One simple change you could do to the Feasting Grounds map is to remove the narrow path from the spawn point to the center and make so that you get launch into the center once the match begins as if you are using one of those launch pads from Binding Coil of Bahamut Turn 3. Similar for the Lichenweed map, remove the wooden ladder from the spawn point to the ground below and launch people into the arena once the match begins.

This way people can't retreat to the spawn point just to make it harder for people to take you out. I can see healers using the spawn point in Feasting Grounds running up and down the stairs in order to break line of sight with enemy casters and a lot of cat & mouse with physical DPS.
