Regarding Reports on Recent Connection Problems with the NA Data Center

From Exodus and it has just been today so far. 1 dc and very bad lag spikes multiple ones. Pretty much lags when ever i try to do something like retainers or melding. Probably going to need server maintenance. However it is Golden Week so I'll be patient.

Update: It appears that changing my wireless connection from the 5ghz band to the 2.4ghz band has caused me to stop disconnecting at a constant. I find this confusing however, as I never disconnected from my network or even the internet whenever I was disconnected from FFXIV. And there was absolutely no congestion on the 5ghz band as my PC is currently the only device allowed on that channel; but there is much more usage on the 2.4ghz band. Furthermore, I know the disconnection occurred further down the line, as it would still record my location data as I moved while being disconnected. On top of which, others could see me move while I was being disconnected; so that means it was also transferring the location data.

My best theory is that some anti-cheat software somewhere became oversensitive and thought that I was fiddling with the connection because I was on the 5ghz band; much like how the client thought that Callinon was cheating because of his CPU cycling issue. That is, again, my best guess however. Either way, I seem to have found a fix for my personal problem and thought that I would share in the off chance that it helps someone else having a similar issue.

I personally hope that I don't have to report on this issue again and that it remains resolved for me, but only time will tell.
