Square, it's been five months since this thread was created, and the problem had existed for weeks or months before that. This is beyond ridiculous. I finally, FINALLY got my husband to agree to play ffxiv with me, and he does enjoy it, but he has very little patience for this kind of constant disruption and won't pay a sub if it continues. I can't play a healing class when I'm constantly being dropped off the server during duties, leaving the rest of the party to wipe. My Twitch stream focuses on FFXIV and answering questions for people interested in trying the game out. I'm sure you can imagine what kind of impression the constant lag, rubberbanding, and disconnecting is making on potential players.

This is the only game my husband and I have this issue with. He works in cable and internet installation, so I'm confident when I say that we've verified that the problem is not on our end. Saying "well golly gee" and washing your hands of it is not acceptable, nor is it the kind of answer I'd expect from a company that wants to continue growing their customer base.
