    I have already tried all of the troubleshooting items in this thread. None have worked. ISP says the fail is not until outside of the area, they are not at fault. What is the fix?

    I posted here a few weeks ago about rubberbanding happening during instances, duties and combat but now it's spread to towns. Low populated towns even. Everything is teleporting, retainers are taking ages to appear at the bell. I decided to run a trace route again and lo and behold the problem is actually worse.

    Last time I only had one time out but now it looks like I'm lucky to even stay connected to the server at this point. I know it's not your guys fault on the forums and I feel bad that people are upset with you when this is out of your control but at this point this is unacceptable for a sub based game. Overwatch was having login issues today and it was fixed literally within the time it took me to go get dinner and drive back. Keep in mind the game only has one up front payment, not a sub based one like XIV. These packet losses across your ISP servers have made the game nigh unplayable for me at points and made savage raiding a nightmare. I shouldn't have to play roulette within my daily roulettes to see if I don't have connection issues anymore. If I didn't love this game so much and have so much invested into it I would have unsubbed by now. The fact it took blizzard literally no time to fix this issue as opposed to this one I've been reporting for almost two months now is infuriating. I am also not on some island out in the pacific with a pineapple for a router using mcdonalds wifi. I'm right next to the servers in cali on a wired 5G connection so I KNOW it's not me. Please contact upper management and get this sorted out.

    Hello everyone.

    Over the last several months, many of you have experienced lag or latency issues during peak times while connecting to the North American Data Center. In response to this, we have worked with Square Enix Japan in order to investigate the cause of the issue. We would like to thank all of you for the invaluable information you provided during our investigation. Fortunately, we found no issue with the Data Center itself. However, as many of you have discovered, the issue stems from routing congestion to the Data Center. As Square Enix only has control over the Data Center itself, we cannot affect any individual connection route.

    In the case that you are receiving similar errors to the ones described in this sticky thread, we recommend first doing some standard troubleshooting as listed below. This is a list of common solutions that have helped many players in the past with standard connection issues.

    -Clearing the browsing history, cookies and cache in Internet Explorer (even if this is not your primary web browser). Do the same for the PS4 internet browser if on PlayStation 4.
    -Resetting your router by turning it off and leaving it off for a few minutes, then turning it back on.
    -Connecting your PC/Mac/PS4 directly into the modem with an Ethernet cable
    -Making exceptions for or temporarily disabling your firewall and/or anti-virus software
    -Opening the following TCP ports on your router/hybrid modem
    54992 through 54994
    55006 through 55007
    55021 through 55040
    *For instructions on how to set up port forwarding, please contact your router manufacturer or Internet Service Provider (if your router was supplied by them).

    If you have tried the suggested troubleshooting and still experience the same issues, we recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider and reporting the issue to them.

    We sincerely apologize for any trouble or inconvenience this may cause you and hope you can continue to enjoy Final Fantasy XIV.
