    Can't login to FFXIV

    When i try to launch the game on pc and it just stays as a black screen. I can't even input the login/password, it doesnt get that far. Ended up seeing some error 502 code and had this in the description

    system error 502

    It's pretty frustrating as I've been playing earlier today and now cant even login. No needed/past due updates or anything. Never seen this problem before and getting increasingly frustrated

    Load up Internet Explorer, even if that's not the browser you normally use, and in the options delete the cache (Temporary Internet Files). Make sure that the option for "Preserve Favorites website data" is NOT ticked.

    The XIV launcher use that and after restarting it then you'll find it works again.

    Deleting the IE cache doesnt work. Have done it like 4 times and the launcher is still immediately the black screen

    Processor: 6th generation Intel Core i5-6200U Dual Core
    Processor Speed: 2.3GHz with turbo boost up to 2.8GHz
    Processor Cache: 3MB L3 Cache
    Memory: 6GB DDR3L SDRAM (2 DIMM)
    Video Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 520
    Hard Drive: 1TB 5400RPM hard drive

    Laptop preformance isnt the issue. I was literally signed off for about 30 minutes and when i went to log back on the launcher was immediately black.

    Is your laptop connected using wifi? If so, have you tried using a wired connection?

    Tried both the wireless and wired connection. The launcher is still immediately a black screen. Disabled all antivirus, cleared IE cache files. Im at a lost since FFxiv works just fine on my other laptop, which doesn't do me any good since it performs abysmally slow on that one

    Based on the information provided, we have come to the conclusion that a complete reinstall of the game may be necessary. Please uninstall Final Fantasy XIV from your computer. Make sure to delete any remaining FFXIV files from your computer, including any potential files in your ‘Documents’ folder. Then reinstall the game from scratch. If you need a digital version of this, it can be found here: http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/playersdownload/na/. Any updates or expansions will be downloaded to your computer once logged into the appropriate account.
