I'm always down for grades, or ranks. It gives you a sense of accomplishment. Alternatively to the point system, you can also tie it to achievements:

Elite: Score S rank in 250 instances. Insert title and give mount. 20 points.
Ace: Score A rank in 300 instances. title. 10 points.
Runner up: Score B rank in 500 instances. NOTHING.

I can't think of the other achievements as they might sound kind of eh.

The points are a good idea because you can add more in the future, as the points you receive from it can be spent not only in furniture, glamour and mounts, but consumables (Ventures, Dark Matter, certain food (not HQ)*, misc items, stat pots (not HQ)*, etc) That way you don't stockpile them for nothing like what happened to the achievement points with the new veteran system. Players like me have all the points of the world and nothing to spend them on 8(

*So you don't nuke the market.

I see nothing wrong with it. The problem is implementation. You can measure healing, damage taken and damage dealt like OP suggested. Like I stated on a different thread, the problem here would be SE giving high rankings for a, considered by the playerbase, clearly a low performance. I bet my right kidney that people will say "I don't want grades, I see XIV as a game, not as a school". I'm teasing (kinda).

Side note. Overall, I see people are using the word "harassment" so lightly nowdays. I'm not talking about what Akane or Kaiva said. Just in general. It's not harassment, it's being called out. If you're offended, that's up to you. If you're underperforming based on the group's standard, then it's you the one out of place. -.

It... really didn't die for that reason, though...?
