Should Fey Union be an Aoe?

Was pondering this question and was wondering what your guys' thoughts were.

One idea I've see thrown around in the past is to make Fey Union's behavior change with the fairy. This idea is usually accompanied by a rework to Selene to change the fairy decision from healing/support to ST/AoE. So Selene gets current Fey Union along with a rework to have abilities more centered around single target healing/buffs, while Eos get the new AoE version. ...though no one seems to think to specify if their idea of the AoE should center on Eos or the target.

I would assume Eos since it would require better understanding of the job. Knowing where to place her and when, for example. If the AoE would be centered on the target then it wouldn't require as much skill on the SCH's part.

Eh, there's an argument for both mastery and consistency either way; pet placement vs optimal targeting, and having Fey Union continue being a tether vs having all of Eos's abilities be PBAoEs.

True. I suppose I was thinking of the class purely from the perspective of it being a pet class.

Knowing SE though they would probably do teather AoE as it's easier to control and they hate pet classes.

I agree with you and imo Fey Union as it is with a QoL change, because it sometimes takes to long to activate, is more than fine and has it's usage in a dungeon and outside of it. For example v3s is an very good fight for it, since the skill can do most of the healing on one of the tanks during add phases. I use it for instance, on the tank, who tanks the white flame and it works great, if the group kills the add fast enough. Imo using FU on the tank for white flame is pretty clear, but on the other adds, it depends on what the group has planned and how they want to mitigate/heal. At the end of the day it is still an useful skill and i have to break the habbit a bit of not using it in fights without adds xD

It should switch depending on what fairy you have.

Eos should get ST

Selene should be an AOE one.

Should be buffed to the levels it reached when each tick was a crit when you melded at least one DH materia >.>

In seriousness though, it'd be nice if it changed so that you can buff it with Rouse.
