...sorry, I know I'm being rude and sarcastic, but I couldn't resist.

All business organizations are greedy, and rightfully so, as their main objective is to earn money. Just don't try to pretend that they aren't. If your responds in this thread isn't the textbook definition of white knighting, I don't know what is.

Let me put it this way, consider the basic glamour to the act of charging a phone. Basic functionality, yes? Now let's say the customer is requesting for fast charging or wireless charging. That's an additional feature, which usually comes with an additional price tag. I believe most people will agree with it, or simply skip it if they have no use for it. Some might argue that if it's an industry standard to have said feature when the product cost falls within a certain price range, then it should be included without any additional cost, but let's just ignore that for the sake of simplicity. This additional feature is equivalent to glamour wardrobe (commode), isolated glamour overlay (ensembles) and kupo store glamour.

Still with me? Good. Now when you're questioning other player's reasoning when they disagree to paying more money in order to unlock job restrictions for existing glamours, that's akin to saying customer should pay extra for an "additional" (lol) feature where the phone's (already existing) LED indicator will turn a different color (or any other method using already existing hardware/software combination) to notify you that your phone is fully charged, which is a basic feature that should already be included in the first place.

Sure, attempting to throw money might get SE's attention to change the issue, but where will the bottom line be? If one day we have to pay ten cent for every single time we summon the retainer, are you still going to say that it's fine because you have pocket cash to blow on the game and that the monthly sub is simply for you to access the game? Am I being ridiculous? Sure hell I am! But that's about the same as what your past couple post sounds (imo) with some healthy serving of exaggeration and sarcasm.

TL;DR: if you're ordering a burger takeaway from a restaurant and all they give you is a piece of tissue to hold the burger, you reserve all rights to request for a simple paper wrapper/box to contain the burger and a bag to carry the burger in without paying extra for it.

But I'm sure we won't be able to see eye to eye, so let's just simply agree to disagree. I'll bid thee farewell, Sir-Krotoan.

That was pretty unnecessary and no.. that's not OK.
It's apparent you don't know what white knighting is.
It's apparent you think you're clever.
.. what was the point of posting if you're not going to even consider any possible response? A gotcha? Backing up a friend I'm unaware you have in this thread?
Your examples of industry standards and falsely equivalent comparisons sound (self admittedly) exaggerated and antagonistic. Perhaps this is just how you type.

I never said they weren't greedy. I actually stated they were out for money and any appeal to any moral reason was futile or at least highly unlikely to elicit change.

The bottom line? The day it costs too much. You stop paying when the value is not worth the cost.

The original disagreement if you can even call it that was questioning why there is such a negative response when anyone even MENTIONS dropping a little extra coin to have what they want implemented.
Would I personally pay for that? .. Probably not. It's not that important to me. But instantly chiming in with "REAL MONEY CHARGE! BLAH! NO~~!" gets old really fast.

SE is a company and no more deserving of my loyalty and/or defense than the company that built my car. They made something I enjoy and can see the value for what I pay. Though I wonder at those who pay a subscription KNOWING what the game currently entails and continually demand MORE for the same amount of money. Your metaphorical burger should come with the paper bag and wrapper sure, but the onions and bacon are extra. Interesting choice of comparison as well since where I live a decent burger meal costs about what a subscription to FFXIV does. It's a paltry sum for a months worth of entertainment and from my perspective people blow far more money on far more fleeting amusements all the time. Perhaps I just am not expecting all that much since it seems so cheap.

It is unlikely that we will see eye to eye yes, but copping out and preemptively ending the conversation without hearing the other side is not just rude, it's cowardly and childish.

Well if they make enough money then the third expansion might be double the cost of stormblood which was double the cost of Heavensward.

    This was never confirmed.

The basis of the rumour was apparently a Japanese financial report regarding 'the next expansion' with no breakdown of where the money was going.

The main reason why mages never usually wear plate armour is because the weight of it distracts from the concentration required to cast. They really screwed this all up by allowing tanks to wear absolutely nothing though so I don't see the concentration argument they would normally stand by hold any weight (yes, I know, I couldn't think of any other way to put it).
There are a few plate armour they can wear, a couple shown within this thread already for you, there is also the Light Steel Galerus if that is to your fancy.. While not a plate armour, the High Allagan Coat is covered in plated pieces that could work. There are other pieces out there with plated armour on them, which could be glamoured to make it look like you're in plate armour, so can have a look around to mix and match. They've been making pieces available for all jobs too, like the Uraeus coat, so don't lose hope on them doing this with some plate armour, a lot of JP XI players wanted them to make the Wootz sets be glamourable by all as well so they might do that in the future.

Not my char, but the point of tanks wear armour is not an argument anymore.
