PvP Gear and Glamour

Quick question about using the PvP gear as glamour.

For instance, if I want that really cool looking Lion set for my PLD do I have to have the PvP rank to be able to use it as glamour or can I just farm up the wolf marks to buy it and then use it as glamour.

The reason I ask is because I'm not actually equipping it, obviously. Not sure how this works at all. Any help is greatly appreciated.

PvP gear no longer has any rank restrictions as far as I know - You can buy, wear and glamour at will.

^^^This. They removed the pvp rank requirements some time ago. You need to make the min level for the gear however (cant be level 55 and glamour level 60 gear)

Wonderful. As far as farming the wolf marks... What is the best way to get into PVP to have an enjoyable experience but also gain marks?

The best way, and I'm serious in saying this, is to first look at the PvP job guide for the job you want to play, the guide(s) or patch notes for the mode you'd like to try, and be sure you're at least familiar with that first. Not saying you need to make homework of it, but having just a basic understanding of things can allow you to have a deeper sense of enjoyment from the experience.

Experience will ultimately be your best teacher, and don't be afraid to take chances. You're GOING to make mistakes, but it's not the mistake that matters but how you can adapt or learn from it. In this new era of PvP that lacks much of the original community, there's a LOT of misconceptions and generally bad strategy that works just enough for people to get away with, but strive to learn what works and what works better.

P.S. Within the large scale modes, resize your map and keep it open to read the flow of battle. That alone can be a powerful tool and is a generally good habit to form early.

Frontlines roulettes is easily the best way to earn wolf marks. 1000 plus whatever place you finish in. you can get most of the gear you want for glamour in a few days of frontlines roulettes alone.

I totally forgot this was a thing. Same as PVE where tank queues are fast and DPS is slow?

Awesome, very happy to hear they are still up and running. Although, I took a break starting in September of 2015 until about 2 weeks ago, so I doubt anyone besides the elders will remember me.
