    End Game Worth?

As the title suggests; is the end game worth it? Is the content that good that it's justifiable of 'farming' it to get your gear? Yes, there's always a form of repetition in MMORPGS, but for me, the gameplay is what drives me. Yes, so far the story is good in Heavensward (haven't touched SB as yet), but I found myself taking a break and going to run ARR EX Trials just to boost me a bit.

That is a hard question to answer as many players will have a different p.o.v on what is worth it or not. But to answer your question, it currently is the only way to get the highest ilvl of gear, and also the only way to get upgrades on token gear, that is until the 24 man content comes out but that is only once a week too. But what is your take on endgame, some players craft which is their end game, and some players do normal raids only which is their end game and so on?

But if you are asking is savage worth it then my answer would be if you enjoy playing slightly harder content and endgame content is gearing up your character to the highest level then yes it is.

Yes, I had always craved a challenge in MMORPGs but never really got it from others I played. I will say that I ran Shiva EX and that was an enjoyable experience for me. Despite the party being wiped countless times and we still ended up failing, I had fun.

I have all 340 gear on my Bard but I just don't think I can do the new savage. Maybe I think I am too lame but I have no desire to do it hehe.

To each is own xD . But I'm more curious how you manage to get your 340 Gear without running them.

There are a couple ways to get the materials to upgrade 330s to 340s. Savage gives you access to a separate set of 340s(different secondary stats), as well as access to the upgrade materials. But you can also get them via hunts and via 24 man raids.

Every odd numbered patch an alliance raid is realeased that lets you get an item to upgrade tomestone gear to the same ilvl as savage raid gear. The alliance raids are easier than EX primals and most groups will clear them even if several people have no clue what they're doing so they are usually considered casual-midcore content. So instead of doing savage for gear you can just do 4-man dungeons for tome gear and wait a patch to upgrade it. The advantage of savage raiding is you can get the highest ilvl gear a patch sooner and most of it will have better secondary stats than the "free" upgraded tome gear will.

Really just boils down to are you a hardcore player looking to do the hardest content? If not then no savage raiding isn't necessary unless you just want the mount every 4th raid battle drops and even then you can just wait for 20% echo that will eventually come out for it.

I only run the new 24 Rab with 330 tome gear bought with claritys, then got the aug 340 gear. I ran the delta's originally because they are easy till I got the gear there. I also do 1x 4 person dungeon occasionally and filled in with POtD if I had to for a few make up tomes. I hate dungeons except for maybe ones like Kugane castle (which I run for GC turn ins) so I have to plan carefully.

i'd say for casual to midcore there is something to keep you occupied and endgame can be good to do. for hardcore i'd say it's a little lacking and hard at times to find parties for content runs requiring high level play. i'd say however there is always something to do but idk what you do like to do for me though i've been away from the game lately due to content decisions and overall not being impressed at all with stormblood msq story so much so i skipped some cutscenes and i rarely do that.
