I tried 4 different drivers. 2 from my mobo's site. 1 from Realtek's site and 1 from the MS driver catalog database. It happens with all of them.
A new Windows 10 version and new sound drivers are coming in few months. I might be more lucky then.
For now I'm in talk with Gigabyte though the drivers are Realtek's. This might also be a Windows 10 issue as well. It's a buggy OS.
The game needs fixing. This is also a game's fault. Since 2.0 launched I experience this issue. Over the years different OS's. Previously I was on Windows 8 with an i5-2500K system and an Asus board.
Had exactly the same issue though it wasn't that frequent. But still it was there.
No matter what we do if game is so sensible and crashes so easily while all the rest of the games don't then it also needs fixing.
And one thing I hate in tech support is how companies try to avoid work by blaming the end user or blame another company.
GB says it's a game issue SE ignores it or blames the user's machine and me in the middle trying to do a technician's job which I can't.
The fact is t the game needs a better and more stable audio solution.
Few mins ago I was installing Discord and XIV crashed with an xaudio message like the one I posted earlier.
Launching Discord also breaks XIV's sound. Same issue I was having with my old PC before I upgraded to this 3 months ago.
I'm totally exhausted by this issue and unfortunately I play XIV mostly.
I tried everything so this is in SE's hands to fix.
And again it's only XIV that does it.
Overwatch, LoL, Witcher 3, Sims 4, music players, browsers and media players have absolutely no issue at all.
Anyway that's all for now and thanks for helping me find the logs so I can do a proper report now.
