I have had an idea for a Mystic Knight/ Rune Knight i would really enjoy seeing in game, though all i have is at best a very rough write up and visual concept made from mashed up ideas from past games and art.

Mystic/ Rune Knight:

Weapon: Scythe

Medium armor: Shared with Dragoon

Skills revolve around arpound a summoned pet that can be used for cretain attacks depending on stance.

Melee Stance: Skills/ abilities used in melee stance are enhanced by summoned pet. This can be anything from skills used by the pet when weapon skills are used, to Auras that buff party members in area of effect around the caster. (Dragoon FXI)

Harrying/ Sentinal Stance: Sends pet to attack eniemies while the MTK/RKT casts spells from afar. The pet in this situation uses skills/ abilities to as auto attacks to damage and debuff the enemy.

The pet in this example cannot be killed however it's ability to damage eniemies is light and purposely relegated to only DoT capabilities.

Attacks made by the MTK/RTK scythe can be used to quickly close the distance to the enemy, it's large weapon able to cause damage in large AoE cones or lines in front of the player.

As for another ranged physical job, would not a crossbow work well enough? Paired pistols, Rifle with bayonet, throwing daggers, chakrams actually used to be in the game as a throwing weapon for Pugilist), ect...

My hope is that Blue Mage gets paired swords or Whip swords (should it ever come to FFXIV), also Gun blade job i feel wold bring many to Tanking as Dark Knight did.
