It will happen once people will use existing threads instead of making their own all the time. (which is never lol)

I like this idea more since not only would it provide a more realistic approach for practicing boss fights, but it would also provide a better means of important people (a.k.a. tanks and healers) to practice boss fights.

I think this line irritated me enough to want to quote it and respond to it:

SSS is there solely to see if your gear and rotation will allow you to deal enough damage to clear the content you're aiming to do without having to set foot into the fight. If you can't even clear SSS, there's no point in you even trying to dodge and do mechanics; you'll end up as dead-weight that others need to make up for elsewhere. SSS was never meant to be a test for the fight; the fight itself is the test. Are there tests for taking tests in school anymore? Last I checked, you were given notes (skill descriptions) and it was up to you to do homework to learn the material. Although this is a game, the same still applies. There are plenty of hobbies out there that require research and learning before you can jump into them (including, but not limited to: glass blowing, working on cars/computers/machines in general, glass etching, metalsmithing, writing, any kind of sport; I think you get the point).

Also, pretty sure I said this elsewhere in other threads similar, Yoshi has gone on record to say he does not want a personal parser added to the game either because he knows (emphasis on knows) that people will crack it to allow for monitoring of others, too.

I've got a feeling your taking a different comment a little out of context? (but I admit could be mistaken here) Any chance of a link to that?

Secondly. I really really can't emphasise this enough.

If SE were to put a self only parser in, all they have to do is make it completely client side. From there, there is no way that other people would be able to read the data from it (short of them already having a backdoor to your machine anyhow, in which case, you've got bigger problems sir). This fear is completely and utterly unfounded.

Wow literally just earlier today I was wanting to practice BLM in O1-3 but my friends(who parse) that I usually play with were either sleeping or doing something else so I thought I might queue alone....only to realize I have no way of checking my damage, which means no way of knowing if messing with my CDs(holding ley lines at certain high movement parts, triplecast placement, etc) is actually a dps gain or if I'm only hurting myself, so what would even be the point? ...Anyway I logged out and did something else.

So install a parser. I believe as long as you aren't harassing people about their DPS numbers, devs have a "don't ask, don't tell" approach.

That does nothing for PS4 players, who can not install a parser on their system. They have no way of gauging their damage in a fight.

While cold, it would be easier and quicker to simply save up and buy or build a gaming PC than wait on SE to do anything parser related.

I dont think we, as a community, should not consider this a solution. That solution would also mean not only purchasing a pc, but also repurchasing the FFXIV License. No one should have to do that.
(And no, I play on PC, but I have PS4 players in my static and among my friends.)

SE feels that lack of official parser is a benefit for the community. Also if I was a betting man pretty sure those that use or desire the use of a parser are in the minority. As I said it is cold, but it simply a lot easier for people to save up and buy or build a gaming PC than expect SE to do anything official regarding parser. I mean look at any interview damage meters are brought up, they shoot that question down in seconds and move on to the next one.

Would it be nice for those that want it? Sure. Hell it would be nice if I could mail gil and items between my own characters on a server. I am sure other people have things that they would like to do in the game that are not possible because of SE's mindset.

Either way people have options if they want to use or have use of a parser. Download, become friends with someone that has one and bug them, or save up and buy or build a gaming PC. All those options are far more practical then expecting SE to do anything regarding a parser of anytime on a official scale. End of the day let us just chalk it up to one of those console limitations. Maybe when PS5 hit they will add a personal parser.
