    Ranking systems in games are usually competitive. Dropping your rank deliberately gets you easier matches and effectively lets you stomp on newbies or players well below you.

    While I'm sure you could do it in a cooperative game... what's the point? You'd be putting yourself into a lower rank to get slower dungeons because reasons?

    No reason at all..........

    .....Aside from people in a lower rank within reason would get through daily duties faster than those of a higher rank. Afterall, people that understand their role and responsibilities to a 'gold standard' are in the minority of the player-base. So the queue times for higher ranked people would be disastrous. Assuming there would actually be a a noticeable distinction between the ranks, and not something insignificant to where it has no meaning
